Living Ship Day: Cartoons At War!

USS Hornet Museum

World War II was the first large scale conflict in which countries could make use of television and cheap color printing. America took full advantage of this by developing an entire platform of propaganda and educational media featuring popular cartoon characters. Hear from presenters Brian Fies and Corry Kanzenberg, who will speak to the history of cartoons during times of war, including topics such as Walt Disney Studios, Captain America, and Snoopy at the Red Baron!
