The USS Hornet will be observing National Vietnam War Veterans Day on Sunday March 27th. We will have special speakers and vendors on hand.
Featured speaker: Bill Green, Vietnam War Veteran and member of the Vietnam Veterans of Diablo Valley.
Special Guests: The Flying Tigers Flight Attendants.
National Vietnam War Veterans Day is observed every year on March 29 and is a way to thank and honor our nation’s Vietnam veterans and their families for their service and sacrifice. This also includes:
Featuring the service of our Armed Forces and their support organizations during the war.
Paying tribute to wartime contributions on the home-front by civilians.
Highlighting advances made during the war in the areas of technology, science and medical fields.
Recognize the contribution of the nations that were allied with the U.S. and helped during the war.
