The USS Hornet Museum is happy to announce we will be re-opening on August 1st!

We are going to be able to offer the open air portions of our museum to our guests: The Flight Deck and the Hangar Bay. All of the below decks and Island areas will be closed for now. The good news is that this includes all of our aircraft and several of our displays/exhibits. We are working hard to supplement our guests’ experience with virtual tours of the areas that won’t be open yet. Docents will be on hand to talk about the parts of the ship you can see as well as the parts you can’t!

We are implementing a very thorough set of safety rules and regulations to ensure the safety of our guests and crew. The front page of the USS Hornet Museum website will have all the details.

The USS Hornet memorial Band will be on hand for a few hours to regale guests with Big Band music as they board the museum! We hope to see you then.
