This year marks two milestones at the USS Hornet Sea, Air & Space Museum. We are celebrating the 80th anniversary of the commissioning of the ship and 25th anniversary of her current mission as a museum on Veterans Day this year. As this is Veterans Day, we will be having our usual ceremonies to honor all who have served including a wreath laying. Following this will be an afternoon of guest speakers, open cockpits, extra food vendors, no host bars, an open island for touring, a flyover by the Memorial Squadron and more (looks like 2 flyovers-a 2 plane flight at 1:15 PM and a 5 plane flight at 2 PM).
As a thank you to our community for supporting us through the years, we would like to have a day of free admission so all can attend.
