Leave your mark on a World War II aircraft carrier! Ever wanted to get hands-on with ship restoration? Be able to point at something and say, “I did that!”? Now is your chance! Participate in ship service such as brass polishing, compartment refurbishment, painting, wood restoration, and other fun group activities. Enjoy privileged access to the ship including touring specialty areas with ship’s crew and relive life aboard a carrier. Includes meals in the crew’s mess and sleeping in fully restored berthing areas. This event is specially geared to both Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts who are looking to fulfill their community service hours or Duty to Country requirements.
