Scout Service Restoration:
Imagine the thrill of stepping aboard a historic WWII aircraft carrier, a floating city of steel that witnessed some of the most pivotal moments in history. As you work alongside dedicated volunteers, you’ll have the unique opportunity to leave your mark on this iconic vessel.
Preserving History:
· Ship Service: Contribute to the preservation of the ship by participating in hands-on tasks such as brass polishing, compartment refurbishment, painting, and wood restoration.
· Community Service: Fulfill your scouting organization’s community service or Duty to Country requirements while making a lasting impact on history.
Privileged Access:
· Specialty Tours: Enjoy exclusive access to areas of the ship that are typically off-limits to visitors, guided by knowledgeable ship’s crew.
· Behind-the-Scenes Experience: Gain a firsthand understanding of the day-to-day operations of a WWII aircraft carrier, reliving the lives of those who served on board.
Immersive Experience:
· Crew Meals: Experience the camaraderie of ship life by dining in the crew’s mess.

This program is recommended for ages 9 and up. All Overnight Guests must be at least 5 years old, but this program is geared towards older scouts.
HOW DO I REGISTER?
· You will need an estimated headcount and a non-refundable $100 deposit is required at the time of registration.
· Your final headcount and remaining payment are not due until two weeks prior to the event date.
*Group Booking Note: If you are booking for a group but prefer families to register and pay individually, please email overnights@uss-hornet.org before registering to obtain the necessary discount code.
RATES:
· $90 per person
· USS Hornet Museum Members: $72 per person o Email your membership ID number to overnights@uss-hornet.org to secure your overnight rate. The discount rate applies only to the individuals covered under your membership level. For instance, a family membership grants the 20% discount to two adults and six children.
CANCELLATION POLICY:
· To cancel your reservation: a 50% refund will be issued to your original payment method. Please note that cancellations made within 72 hours of the event are non-refundable. Allow 3 to 7 business days for the processing of your refund from the date of your request.
· You may reschedule your reservation without penalty up to 72 hours prior to the event. Please note that no credit will be issued for cancellations made within this timeframe, including same-day cancellations or no-shows.
