National Vietnam War Veterans Day 2026

Please join us as we commemorate National Vietnam War Veterans Day. The main event will start at 1 pm.

We are happy to work with the Alameda Veterans Affairs Commission to bring you this event.

Our keynote speaker is Napa Nick Sanza

Napa Nick Sanza during the Vietnam War was conducting dangerous underground missions in Viet Cong tunnel systems in search of American POWs and the remains of missing service members.

Nick was armed with a three-and-a-half-foot-long bamboo stick with a slit cut on one end, a 14-inch World War II Japanese bayonet, and a silenced .38 Special revolver pistol, Nicholas “Nick” Sanza was deep underground in the Viet Cong tunnel system. He was wearing the same black pajamas of his enemy, strictly ate their food, and used their skills to hear in the dark what his eyes could not see.

After Vietnam, Nick built a successful career in film and television as “Napa Nick,” working on the CBS series Falcon Crest and numerous network productions as a producer, production manager, stuntman, investigative journalist
