This year marks the 84th anniversary of the Doolittle Raid. While the mission itself is well-documented, this presentation will focus on lesser-known aspects, including:
– The recovery of artifacts from crash sites in China.
– A detailed explanation of the B-25 that landed intact in the Soviet Union.
– The significance of Kermit Weeks’ efforts to restore the only known B-25B to flying status.

Steve Leavell Bio:
Steve Leavell is a retired United Airlines captain who flew nine different types of passenger aircraft, including Boeing and Douglas. He was also a Line Check Airman and Flight Manager. Following his retirement from United, he was recruited to join a team that organized a new cargo airline based in Guam, Asia Pacific Airlines. Upon the airline’s certification, he served as the Director of Operations.
