This exhibit is currently closed for update, reopening in late summer 2025.
The Museum is excited for visitors to experience a refreshed exhibition focused on the Doolittle Raid, USS Hornet CV-8, and featuring new headliner artifacts in the collection. The space will also get important restoration work, including new paint for the entire compartment, which was the ship’s store in service.
While the permanent exhibition is closed, check out our preview display for Hornet Legacy in Hangar Bay 1 by the bell. It’s a fragment of a B-25B from the Doolittle Raid.
