Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month Kick Off Event 2023

The USS Hornet Sea, Air and Space Museum will be hosting an event for Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month on May 6th from 10 am to 5 pm.
Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders have a rich heritage thousands of years old and have both shaped the history of the United States and had their lives dramatically influenced by moments in its history
We will have a special exhibit in the Hangar Bay for our guests to enjoy that is a partnership between the USS Hornet Museum, The Friends and Family of Nisei Veterans, and the Bataan Legacy Project. Representatives from each group will be on hand to discuss their exhibits.
The event will be blessed by Reverend Harry Gyokyo Bridge of the Buddhist Church of Oakland.
Stay tuned for more details and specific times. The exhibit will stay up through the month of May.
