 Driving Directions

The USS Hornet Museum is located at the former Alameda naval station and is centrally located between the Oakland and San Francisco airports. From I-880, take the Broadway Street exit and follow the signs to Alameda.

There is plenty of free parking across from the pier.

 Public Transportation

Alameda/Oakland Ferry – Board the ferry at Fisherman’s Wharf; a great way to see the Bay before touring HORNET

Bay Area Rapid Transit – BART provides fast and convenient service throughout the Bay Area

AC Transit – Bus #63 is your connection from BART or the ferry terminal. AC Transit will be providing bus service to Hornet’s pier during the Splashdown 2009 event, July 24-26. A bus connection is available every 30 minutes. Check their website for actual schedule.
